Argh, no! I would drive to Baltimore (from DC) to see you. But I have to drive somewhere else that weekend! Dammit--I wanted to surprise you. Have fun and I'm sure your reading will be GREAT.

binnie

Hope I can make it out of my conflicting, um, engagement early enough to make it down on Wednesday, since the signing in LA didn't have visual aids!
I rather like "dazed and CONTUSED". Don't fix it!

MaryAn

Here's hoping there are many more book tours to come.

E.C. Henry

Sounds like you're having fun with this book tour thing--good for you!

I am currently reading your book. And I'm currious how closely this story mirrors you're own personal life, Billy?

I saw your book on the featured shelf at the central branch of the Denver Public Library last week. Hope you have a great trip!

JD

Reading it now... the scene in Yamashiro alone is worth the price of the book! Whoever directs the movie version will not be able to do that sequence justice.

-- Didja get the TV working in Brooklyn?

Let us know how the tour went (for those of us who wanted to make it...but couldn't)

Any news or anecdotes welcome.

Billy,
Great fun at your booksigning in Baltimore (Hampden) at the Minas Gallery......!
I've also chatted with Adriana Trigiani when she made a visit to DC to teach a creative writing workshop for teens at the National Museum of Women in the Arts. www.nmwa.org
Adriana is a tv writer turned novelist check out her website about her film project for her book "Home to Big Stone Gap"

Hi Billy, just thought you might want to help me out by answering a question on my blog. It is something regarding my screenwriting, and I need help in making this decision. Since I am also waiting for answers by other screenwriters, it would be nice if you would answer through a comment.

Thank you very much!

Jamy: Thanks for being there in spirit.

Binnie: "Contused" was intentional, thanks, glad you liked it -- great to see you in NYC!

MaryAn: From your mouth to Amazon.com's ears.

EC: Mirrors it very closely up to the point where Jordan invents an imaginary lover... after that, I'll never tell.

Thanks, Angie! Glad I'm "in Denver."

JD: Thanks (and Yamashiro thanks you, I'm sure) -- re: Brooklyn, we decided to forego the audio--visual show; people kept telling me they liked the reading so much without it!

Abby: I'll talk about the tour in my post this coming weekend -- thanks for sending your imaginary friend (she was quite charming!).

Thanks for visiting, Denee -- it was great to meet you off-line as well; I'll check out that site.

Nick: I visited your blog to say... everyone else has said what needs be said. Best of luck!

What's this? "... cute and self-referential...". Isn't that what audiences love? Works for me. You've got a really good story there, Billy.

So, please get on, being "cuter" and more "self-referential", and write us the Rom Com movie we've been waiting for.

Nick

Thanks for taking the time! :D Still, your affirmation adds weight to what others said. :)
